A striking, one of a kind, hand embroidered cotton stole .This exquisite stole has been hand embroidered using the Pakko embroidery style, practised by the Sodha and Jadeja communities of the Kutch region of Gujarat. The embroidery is bold, colourful and solid. The cloth may give way after years of use but the embroidery won’t fray and hence it is called Pakko.
Kutch Craft Collective is a collaborative platform of 5 organizations from Kutch and was formed to revive the old crafts of Kutch, while creating livelihood opportunities for the artisan families. Amongst the five organizations of KCC, Shrujan is a not-for-profit organization working with craftswomen in Kutch to revitalize the ancient craft of hand embroidery.Through their endeavour, Shrujan has enabled craftswomen to secure a better future for themselves and their families in Kutch.
