This natural stone beige hued silk stole, is hand woven by the local weavers of Assam. This luxurious stole or odhani features the traditional Eri silk yarn from Assam, dyed using natural dyes. Eri silk is an ethically made yarn. This strong and durable fibre is sourced from empty cocoons of silkworms that feed on castor plants. Eri silk provides warmth in winters and coolness in the summers, and these stoles are ideal to team up with any outfit! The beautiful shade of this stole actually comes from lac. Elephant Country, along with Balipara Foundation, a not-for-profit, work together with an aim to provide livelihood to many forest-fringe communities of the Eastern Himalayas.
