description
The elephant has a special place in India and its history. Venerated and worshipped, the animal was also most prized by kings for warfare. In fact, empires in ancient India were won on the back of elephants.
The elephant clearly played an important role for the Harappans, and here you can see the earliest depiction of the animal in all its glory.
Do note that these replicas are much larger than the original Harappan seals, to allow you to use them as wall hangings or showcase them. Each seal comes framed and has a provision at the back to both hang the frame or leave it standing on a flat table.
