This Kotpad saree is a beautifully hand-woven piece in a comfortable cotton fabric. The Kotpad weave was traditionally made by the Mirgan community of Kotpad village in Odisha. These hand-woven fabrics are used by tribals on special occasions such as rituals and weddings. The motifs used are inspired by nature with each motif having its own significance.
