Pichwai Kamadhenu Crimson Painting

Pichwais are devotional paintings that celebrate different tales from the life of Lord Krishna. In Sanskrit "Pichh" means back and "wais" means hanging, so Pichwais primarily are paintings that hang behind the main deity of Krishna. Pichwai art has a rich history associated with it. It originated almost 5 centuries ago in the temple town of Nathdwara near Udaipur in Rajasthan. This product has been hand painted and may have slight irregularities that are a natural outcome of the human involvement in the process. No two pieces are exactly alike.
