This beautiful dupatta/shawl is a work of art that has been specially designed for you. Made by women from the Kashmir valley, this piece takes an iconic Kashmiri embroidery style - sozni, that is usually done on the famous pashmina shawls of the region, and adapts it to a cotton silk fabric that can be worn all through the year
The colour palette and motifs on this dupatta are inspired by the beautiful flowers of the Kashmir valley. A lot goes into making this stunning dupatta. The first step is Naqashi - where blocks with prints are used to make the outline of the design. Thereafter, the expert hands of an embroiderer fill these designs with varying thread colours using fine needles.
