It is an icon of the city of Hyderabad. The Charminar is an inextricable part of the city’s collective consciousness, culture, history and identity. It was built in 1592 by Sultan Muhammad Quli Qutub Shah, but this monument has been witness to the many stories of Hyderabad's history.
