Evolution of Our Cities

Since India’s Independence in 1947, our cities have come a long way, transforming into hubs that drove growth in the country and catapulted India into the 21st century.

However, cities in India began to face a host of problems - congestion, unplanned growth and pollution. To understand these problems, we have to go back in time. In this episode, we take a look at how cities in India have evolved since Independence and the colonial legacy left behind by the British, which remains to this day.
