Meena Arora Nayak on The Kathasaritsagara of Somadeva

The 11th-century collection of Indian legends and folk tales, 'Kathasaritsagara' as written by Somadeva is well known for life lessons that can be taken from all of the stories presented in the compilation. Author Meena Arora Nayak’s new retelling of the Kathasaritsagara, the first major rendition of the epic in a quarter-century, closely follows the adventures of Naravahanadatta and brings these ancient tales to new and enthralling life.
