King Ashoka and his Edicts in Delhi
Did you know that Delhi has three of Ashoka's edicts? Although the great Mauryan Emperor ruled from Pataliputra, three of his edicts ended up in Delhi, which was not an important political centre at the time, and was far from the Mauryan capital. Here's their story.
