Gwalior: North India's Most Strategic Fort

For more than 1500 years, the Gwalior Fort has been one of the most important forts of North India. Located on a hill known as 'Gopagiri' and named after a RIshi named 'Gwalipa', the Gwalior Fort lay on a strategic location on a trade route connecting North and South India.
