The Story of Ahilyabai Holkar

Ahilyabai Holkar (31 May 1725 – 13 August 1795) was known as Rajmata of Maheshwar. Rani Ahilyabai was a great woman and builder of Hindu temples. She built hundreds of temples and Dharmashalas throughout India. After her death, Khasgi Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Trust was formed & about 200 temples & ghats maintenance are under this trust. She built some famous Temples & Ghats in India some of which are the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple at Kashi, Somnath Temple, Vishnupad Temple at Bodh Gaya & many more.
